Trailer Air Leak Repair in Montreal: How Our Mobile Truck Mechanics Find and Fix It

A trailer that loses air pressure can’t brake or ride safely.

A trailer that loses air pressure can’t brake or ride safely. Here is how our mobile truck mechanics find the real cause of an air leak and complete the trailer repair at your location in Montréal, with 24/7 road service for trucks and trailers.

1. Look and listen

We start with the air springs (air bags) and check each one for leaks. In winter in Québec, soapy water freezes, so a trained ear is often the fastest tool.

2. Check the height control valve

This valve sends air to the air springs. One line brings air from the reservoir to the valve, and another goes to the air springs, which are all connected together. A leak in one place makes the whole system lose pressure.

3. Find the real cause

On a recent call, the air springs and lines were fine, but the reservoir would not fill. An auto-reset control valve (the valve with the small button) was leaking. We replaced it, and the trailer was back on the road in about 30 minutes.

Why we take photos

We take photos before and after every repair and add them to your client file. You see exactly what failed and what we replaced, even if you were not on site. We fix the cause, we don’t guess.
